This presentation will include information to assist the RDA in preparing and maintaining a variety of dental office manuals and records.  This includes IPC Manuals, Equipment Maintenance Manuals, MSDS/WHMIS Manuals, Staff Training Manuals, Safety Manuals and more!  Records keeping is an important and valuable aspect of practice management that can improve outcomes and save time and money.  Ensuring that standards are met to comply with legislation and industry requirements are the responsibility of every dental practice.  Sarah will provide you with the information you need to start or improve your dental office manuals and documentation procedures.  CCP Links incl: A-10-1 A-6-2 C-1-1 B-4-3 H-2-4

11:45 AM                    “Coordinating External Laboratory Processes” 
                                     Presented by Kim Starko CDT RDT                 

In the provision of dental treatment there will often be a need to use external laboratories.  How we receive and process cases and whether we provide needed information to our laboratory will affect outcomes.  The handling of impressions and models; basic color theory for shade selection; laboratory procedures for shade selection, color corrected lighting and digital photography; understanding implant prosthetics after the surgery is done - will all be covered in this presentation.  Information on changes in dental technology including CAD/CAM digital files and impressions will be the finishing touch to this session.    CCP Links incl: G-1-4

RDA’s can complete more than 2 Learning Objectives during this 3.5 CE credit hours event.

Attendance is limited to the first 144 registrations and the registration fee is all inclusive.

Debbie Hartt and her committee have planned a wonderful day of education and celebration for you.  Bring your spouse, friend, relative, colleagues or significant other for a day of interesting speakers, a wonderful luncheon and lots of fabulous door prizes.  This is a great educational and social opportunity for your dental team!  We will also take this time to celebrate excellence in our profession and our local association with a number of EDAA Award presentations.   

Be proud of your chosen profession.  Let your patients know about the vital role that you play in their dental experience and remember—we do make a difference!

EDAA TABLE CLINIC COMPETITION 2012

Each year the EDAA holds a Table Clinic Competition to allow members to educate their colleagues in areas of interest in the dental field.  The winner will receive an engraved award, CCP Learning Objective credits and a cheque for $100.  The winners name will be engraved on our Annual Clinic Trophy.   Members are encouraged to contact Dominica Hebert our Education Director for details on presenting a 6-8 minute Table Clinic.  The next competition will be held on March 10, 2012 at our DAW event.  Please register your Table Clinic prior to March 4th to ensure we can accomodate your presentation.

Deadline for event registration is March 4, 2012.  Any registrations postmarked after this date will not be processed.
